Monday Morning Muse: Woman Wearing Large Hat

This portrait of a young woman wearing a large hat, drawn by self-taught American illustrator and printmaker Ernest Haskell, was gifted to the Mead in 1996 by the artist’s daughter, Josephine Haskell Aldridge. Last week’s post, Ernest Haskell’s The Spinet, was also gifted to the Mead by Mrs. Aldridge in memory of her late husband Richard Aldridge.
