From the Collection: Silhouettes

William Brown (1808-1883), a silhouette artist from Charleston, SC, is best known for Portrait Gallery of Distinguished Americans, his collection of 27 full-length silhouettes published by E.B. & E.C. Kellogg  in 1845. The volume includes silhouettes of statesmen, presidents, and other prominent Americans.
